Ingredients

4 oz fat-free cream cheese

12 oz uncooked whole-wheat pasta

1 cup fat-free cottage cheese

3 oz part-skim mozzarella cheese

1 tsp sugar

1/4 cup red wine

10 oz 95% lean/5% fat raw ground beef

1/2 cup fat-free sour cream

26 oz jar pasta sauce

Preparation

  1. Brown ground beef. Add pasta sauce, wine and sugar. Cook on low.
  2. Boil pasta per box directions.
  3. Combine cream cheese, cottage cheese and sour cream in a small bowl.
  4. Combine pasta and meat sauce in a medium bowl.
  5. In a 9x13 pan, layer 1/2 of pasta and sauce, all of cheese mixture, then top with the remaining pasta and meat. Sprinkle mozzarella over the whole dish.
  6. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
