Ingredients

1 c. boiling water

1 c. bran

2 eggs

1/2 c. margarine

1 c. sugar

2 c. buttermilk

1/2 cup molasses

2 1/2 cups flour

2 1/2 t. baking soda

1/2 t. salt

2 additional cups bran

1 c. raisins

1/2 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Combine 1 cup bran and boiling water. Stir and set aside to cool. Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add buttermilk, molasses and cooled bran to mixture. Add flour, soda, salt and remaining 2 cups of bran. Stir only to moisten. Gently add raisins and nuts. Grease or spray Pam in muffin tins. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes.
