Ingredients

1/3 cup cream

1/8 tsp salt

4 Tbsp butter flavoring

4 cups powdered sugar

Food coloring (optional)

Preparation

Heat cream & butter in top of a double boiler. Remove from heat, add salt & sugar. Knead until smooth. Add flavoring. If using coloring, add at this stage. Knead until flavoring and coloring are evenly distributed. Roll into thin ropes and cut into 1/2" pieces. Let dry in open air at least 15 minutes.

Tip: You can use any flavoring and coloring. Peppermint is good. Roll in crushed candy cane flakes before cutting and allowing to dry.
