Ingredients
Four - 6 ounce Ahi Tuna steaks
For Avocado Blueberry Salsa:
1 ripe avocado
1 medium tomato
¼ cup of onion
½ cup of blueberries
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of capers, drained
2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
½ of a lemon, juiced
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Preparation
Make Salsa:
Coarsely chop the avocado, tomato, and onion, toss into a large mixing bowl. Add the garlic, capers, blueberries, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Lightly stir, making sure not to smash the avocado.
Sear Tuna Steaks:
Salt and Pepper the tuna to taste. Pre heat grill to 450 degrees, or large skillet on medium high heat with about a ½ a tablespoon of olive oil. Sear the tuna steaks on both sides for 3-4 minutes a side for rare temperature.
Top with salsa.
