Ingredients

8 slices thick french bread

8 large eggs, lightly beaten

1/4 cup milk (low fat preferable)

4 teaspoons cinnamon

2 teaspoons nutmeg

Cinnamon & Brown Sugar or Maple Syrup to taste

1/2 tablespoon unsalted Butter

Preparation

Grease a large frying pan with the butter. Combine the beaten eggs and the milk in a large bowl. Combine the nutmeg and 3 teaspoons of the cinnamon and stir into the milk and egg mixture. Dip each slice of bread into the mixture individually, making sure that the bread is fully coated on both sides with the egg. Fry the bread in the greased frying pan over low-medium heat about 2 minutes each side or until golden-brown, sprinkling with the remaining cinnamon. Top the toast with cinnamon and brown sugar or maple syrup, and enjoy!
