Ingredients
1/2 cup silvered almonds
2 1/2 cup cooked, chunked chicken
4 tbls butter
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup bell pepper
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/ cup chicken stock
1/2 cup sherry
dash of salt
dash of pepper
1/2 tsp 5 spice (mix together a bit of anise, ground cloves & cinnamon)
1 tbls soy sauce
3/4 cup white rice
Preparation
Melt half the butter in a large skillet, saute mushrooms & peppers, about 2 minutes. Add rest of butter. Add flour,5-spice, salt & pepper to taste. Add soy sauce, chicken & sherry. Cook until sherry has been absorbed. Add chicken & simmer 10 minutes. Served topped with silvered almonds over rice.
