Ingredients

1 1/2 cups butter

4 sqrs. unsweetened chocolate

2 1/4 c. sugar

3 eggs beaten

1 c. all purpose flour

3/4c. chopped slivered almonds

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Filling:

1c. sugar

1c. milk

24 jumbo marshmellows

1 package flaked coconut

Topping:

1c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

3/4c. sugar

1/4c. butter

1/4c. milk

1/4c. chopped slivered almonds(toasted)

Preparation

  1. in a saucepan, low heat, melt butter and chocolate; cool slightly. Add sugar. Stir in eggs, flour, almonds, and vanilla. Transfer to a greased 13in. x 9in. x 2in. baking pan. Bake at 350 f for 30 min. or untill toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.

  2. In a large saucepan, combine filling ingredients; bring to a boil. pour over brownies.

  3. In another saucepan, combine chocolate chips, sugar, butter, and milk; bring to a boil. Spoon over the filling. Sprinkle almonds. Chill for 2 hours or untill set. Store in fridge.
