Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup confectioners sugar

1 egg

1 tbsp vanilla

2 1/2-3 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds, grounded

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream butter, granulated sugar and 1/2 cup confectioners sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in 2 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt. Add ground almonds. Mix thoroughly to form a stiff dough, add additional flour if needed. Roll into crescents. Bake 12-15 minutes, Dust with confectioners sugar.
