Ingredients
FOR BROWNIES
1/2 cup butter
2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
2/3 cup flour
FOR CHOCOLATE GLAZE
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
PREP Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Grease a 9X9X2 baking pan - set aside.
MAKE BROWNIES In a medium saucepan melt butter and chocolate over low heat - turn off burner. Whisk in sugar, eggs and vanilla by hand until just combined. Whisk in flour. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
MAKE CHOCOLATE GLAZE In a saucepan cook and stir butter, cocoa powder and milk until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Pour over cooled brownies.
