Ingredients
2/3 c. Salted butter, softened
1/2 c. Dark or medium dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. White sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 egg
1-1/2 c. All purpose, unbleached flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 c. Pecans, halved or chopped
1 c. Chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- Mix butter and sugars at medium speed with a mixer/beaters until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla to mixer and gently mix in until blended.
- In separate bowl combine flour, sea salt & baking soda, stirring with wooden spoon to blend. Add dry bowl mix to your wet ingredients.
- Mix on low speed until blended. Then stir in pecans and chocolate chips with wooden spoon.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons into a cookie sheet or a baking stone.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges of cookies are light golden brown and tips of the cookies have cracked.
- After cooking time is complete, take tray out of oven and let the cookies rest on pan for 2 minutes then remove to a cooling rack (a plate or wooden cutting board is fine too) to cool completely.
