Ingredients
4 cups peeled, cored, and chopped apples
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
Cinnamon sauce:
1/4 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375°. Butter and flour a 9 x 13" pan. Combine apples and nuts in a large bowl and sift dry ingredients over top. Mix eggs, oil, and vanilla together; add to the apple-flour mixture and mix until well-blended. Bake 45 minutes; cool.
