Ingredients
Crust:
1 cup butter
2/3 cup white sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
Filling:
2 packages cream cheese (8 oz)
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
Topping:
4 cups thinly sliced apples
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
Crust: Cream butter sugar and vanilla. Blend in flour. Press into 13x9 pan covering bottom. Bake crust for 5 minutes at 450 degrees. Filling: Mix cream cheese, eggs and sugar well. Spread filling evenly over baked crust. Topping: Arrange apples over filling. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Bake at 450 degrees for 1 minute, then reduce temperature to 375 degrees baking an additional 25 minutes. Apples will be tender, center of the cheese filling will be soft set like pudding.
