Ingredients
Base
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup All purpose flour
Cheesecake Filling
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Apple Topping
1 1/2 lbs Granny smith apples
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon (or more to your taste)
1/4 cup sliced almonds
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Make crust: cream together butter and sugar. Add flour and mix well. Press into bottom and 1 1/4 inches up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan
Make cheesecake filling: mix together cream cheese and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla and blend well. Spoon mixture into crust.
Make apple topping: core, peel and thinly slice apples. Arrange apple slices on cooie sheet. Combine sugar and cinnamon, mix in a bowl with apple slices just enough to coat.
Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bke another 25 minutes. Let cool 3 to 4 hours before serving.
