Ingredients

5 apples, cored, peeled, thinly sliced

1 ½ tbsp lemon juice

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar (mixed white & brown)

1 ½ tsp cinnamon (or lots more)

½ tsp salt

1 stick butter, cold & cut into cubes

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350˚. Grease an 8-inch cake pan.

Layer apples in pan, sprinkle with lemon juice. In a food processor, process flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt to combine. Add butter and process in short pulses until mixture forms lumps the size of peas. Cover apples with topping, press down.

Bake 1 hour until apples are tender.
