Ingredients

Base

5 honeycrisp apples peeled and sliced 1/4" thick

1/2 t lemon juice

1/4 C sugar

1 T flour

2 dashes ground cinnamon

Topping

3/4 C butter cut into Tbsp’s

1/4 C sugar

1/4 C brown sugar

1/2 C flour

1/4 t salt

1/2 C old-fashioned oatmeal uncooked

Preparation

To make Base: toss aples w/ lemon juice, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Arrange apples in 8" square baking dish. Topping: preheat oven 350 degrees in food processor, pulse butter, sugar, brown sugar, flour and salt until crumbly and no chunks of butter remaining. Toss in oatmeal by hand. Sprinkle topping over apples. Bake about 1 hr or until juices are bubbling thickly.
