Ingredients

1 stick unsalted butter

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup light brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1-1.5 lbs. granny smith apples

(optional but recommended) vanilla ice cream

Preparation

Peel and core the apples. Slice into 1/2 inch thick slices and put into casserole dish. Mix together the brown sugar, butter, flour and cinnamon. After the dough has come together, refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough and place on top of apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
