Ingredients

3 Eggs

1 1/2 cups salad oil

3 cups all purpose flour

2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon soda

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups chopped apples

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Preparation

Mix eggs, oil,and sugar, and blend well.Combine flour, salt , and soda; add to egg mixture. Add vanilla, apples, and nuts. Pour into a greased 8- or 9- inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. While cake is still hot, pour hot Topping over it in the pan and let cool. When completely cool, remove cake from the pan. Yield: 1 (8- or 9- inch) cake Topping: 1 cup dark brown sugar, 1/4 cup milk and 1/2 cup butter. Combine all ingredients and cook for 2 1/2 minutes. Pour immediately over cake in pan.
