quarts (8 cups) apple juice

to 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

cinnamon sticks

whole allspice

whole cloves

to 1 1/2 cups apricot brandy or apricot nectar
Preparation
In medium saucepan, combine apple juice and brown sugar. Cook over low heat until brown sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, tie all spices in cheesecloth bag. Add spice bag to saucepan; simmer 15 minutes.
Remove saucepan from heat. Remove spice bag; stir in brandy. Serve hot in small mugs or cups. If desired, garnish with apple slices or wedges and cinnamon stick.
