Ingredients
12 oz. water
12 oz. whole milk
2 teabags Taj Mahal or other black tea
1/4 apple, thinly sliced
1/4 pear, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon diced fresh ginger root
1 teaspoon sugar
dash of nutmeg
Preparation
Bring the water and milk to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat and add tea, letting it simmer for a few minutes until the color has deepened.
Add the fruit, ginger, sugar, and nutmeg. Let the ingredients simmer together for another 4-5 minutes.
Remove from heat, and pour through a tea strainer (or coffee filter) into teacups or mugs, and serve hot and fresh!
