Ingredients
Cake
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup plain yogurt
2 cups finely chopped apples
Topping
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. soft butter
Preparation
- Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
- Sift flour, baking soda and baking powder and add to creamed mixture, alternating with sour cream. Mix well. Fold in apples. Pour into a greased tube pan or 13" x 9" x 2" pan. Sprinkle with topping.
If using a 13" x 9" pan, bake for 35 minutes. If using a tube pan, bake for 1 hour or until tester comes out clean.
