Ingredients
Apple Pan Cake-
2 cans Apple pie filling
2 Cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking Soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs beaten slightly
1 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup cooking oil
3/4 cup chopped walnuts-divided
Sour cream topping
2 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp Soda
Combine ingredients in a sauce pan.
Cook over Med. Heat stirring constantly until mixture comes
to a boil. Remove from heat, pour over warm cake.
Note: Cherry, Peach, Apricot, Pineapple, filling may be substituted.
Preparation
Spread pie filling on bottom of 13X9 pan. Combine flour, sugar, soda & salt. Sprinkle over pie filling. In mixing bowl combine eggs, vanilla, oil & 1/2C nuts mix well. Pour over ingredients in pan. Fold until well blended, smooth batter evenly in pan. Bake @ 350o for 40-50 min. Prick warm cake w/fork. Pour hot topping over cake sprinkle 1/4 cup nuts. Serve warm or cold.
