Ingredients

Pastry for single pie crust

2 Granny Smith Apples Peeled & sliced

1/4 cup apricot preserves

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

For the Topping:

2 tablespoons flour

1 1/2 tablespoons butter, softened

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 tablespoons chopped pecans

Preparation

Lay pastry flat on large parchment lined baking sheet. Toss apples with remaining ingredients. Mound in center of pastry and gather up edges. In a small bowl cut butter into flour and brown sugar. Add pecans and spread on top of apples. Bake 35-40 minutes at 400, covering pecan center with foil after 15 minutes to prevent burning them. Let cool atleast 30 minutes before cutting.
