Ingredients

5-7 apples (I use Gala)

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon (or more)

pie crust (Pillsbury refrigerated or Pet Ritz deep dish)

Topping:

1/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup flour

1/3 cup butter

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Place pie crust into pan. Skin apples and slice. Place slices into pie shell.

Mix together cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle thoroughly over apples in pie shell.

Combine sugar, flour and butter and mix with fork or pastry blender. Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples. Add what is left of the cinnamon and sugar mixture to top.

Bake for 40 minutes.
