Ingredients

1 recipe for double-crust pie

8 apples (Granny Smith…peeled, cored, & sliced very thin)

1 1/4 cup sugar

2 Tbsp Flour

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

  • Prepare pie crust
  • Mix apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, & flour
  • Toss until coated
  • Place apples in crusted pan & top with 2nd crust
  • Crimp edges and make slits
  • Bake at 375F in lower part of oven for 1 hour
