Ingredients
3 1/2 cups of Granny smith apples, peeled and sliced
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2/3 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons flour
prepared pie crust
Crumb topping
1 cup flour
1 cup quick cooking oats
1/4 light brown sugar
1 stick butter, 4 ounces
Preparation
Place pie crust in 9 inch pie pan. Fix edge of crust.
In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, flour and apples.
Stir to coat.
Pour apple mixture into pie pan.
FOR CRUMB TOPPING
Cut up butter.
Put in bowl with other ingredients.
Mix together with your finger until crumbly and well mixed BUT NOT UNTIL IT FORMS A MELTED MASS.
Carefully sprinkle over the apples in the pie shell.
