Ingredients
1 Pie crust
2 1/2 pds Rome Beauty or Pippen apples
1 c br sugar
1 T cinanmin
1/4 c cornstarch
dash salt
3 T dark rum
lemon zest
Topping:
1 stick butter - melted
1c br sugar
1 T cinnamin
3/4 c pecans
1/2 c oatmeal- not quick
1/2 c flour
Preparation
Make crust and bake in 9 inch pic pan – let cool Peel apples adn slice up thin, add cornstarch, lemon zest, rum, cinnamin and stir. Add to pie crust mix topping together in a bowl and press onto top of apples. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 45 - 1 hour until bubbling and brown on top.
