Ingredients
1 prepared uncooked pie crust
Filling
3 lbs (about 8) McIntosh apples
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Topping
1 stick of butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 Line pie pan with crust
In a large bowl, toss together the apples, each peeled, cored, and cut into eighths, 3/4 cup of sugar, the flour, the cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice until the mixture is combined well, transfer the filling to the shell.
For the topping, mix ingredients until it crumbles and then sprinkle of ther the apple mixture.
Bake at 350 for about an hour.
