Ingredients

1 Red apple (any type) chopped

1 Granny Smith chopped

1 ½ tsp basil

1 small onion chopped

1 1 inch piece of ginger grated or chopped

1 whole chicken fryer or roaster

2 Bay Leaves

Preparation

Chop apples with skin left on. Mix everything together and stuff the chicken. Place in roasting pan. Slip 2 bay leaves under the skin on top. Brush with some butter or oil and season the top. Place in oven at 350 for about 1/2 to 40 min or until juices run clear and meat thermometer reads 190. When cooked unstuff and thow away the stuffing let chicken sit for 5 min before carving. Serve with cooked vegetables
