Ingredients

Crust (x2):

3 C Flour

2 Sticks of cold butter

1/2 t Salt

3/4 C ice water

Apple:

5 large apples

1/4 C sugar

3 T butter cut into small pieces

4 T apricot preserves (optional)

Preparation

Peel and core the apples Cut the apple in half Slice each half into 1/4" slices Roll out the pie crust to 16"x14" Lay the apples on the pie dough (bigger ones on the outside) Leave 11/2" border Lay the pie crust over the apples Sprinkle the apples with sugar and butter Bake in 400 degree oven for 65-75 minutes Optional: Heat apricot preserves til liquidy and spread so it makes a glaze
