Ingredients

1/4

cup sugar

1

teaspoon apple pie spice

1

roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Sugar Cookie Dough

1/4

cup all-purpose flour

1

cup shredded and packed Granny Smith apple (about 1 medium apple)

Preparation

Heat oven to 350°F. Line two large cookie sheets with cooking parchment paper. In small bowl, mix sugar and apple pie spice.

In large bowl, break cookie dough into small chunks; stir in flour. (DO NOT EAT RAW COOKIE DOUGH AFTER COMBINING WITH FLOUR.) Remove excess moisture from apple by pressing with paper towels. Add apple to dough and mix well; cover and refrigerate dough 30 minutes.

With floured hands, form dough into 1 1/4-inch balls (dough will be sticky). Roll dough in sugar-spice mixture; place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.

Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until edges are light golden brown and centers are set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack.
