Ingredients

2 1/2 cups applesauce

2 eggs

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup olive or canola oil

1 1/2 cups rolled oats

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 cup all purpose flour

1 T baking soda

1 T baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Preparation

  1. combine first 4 ingredients and set aside
  2. combine remaining ingredients
  3. add applesauce mixture stirring gently with a wire whisk just until dry ingredients are moist.
  4. stir in up to 1 1/2 cup raisens, 1/4 cup wheat germ, and/or 1/8 cup flax, or other favorites if desired
  5. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes
