Ingredients
A few cups of wild rice
depending on the number of people being served
and some dried cranberries and apricots.
Preparation
In a baking pan, heat it stove top and add some butter. Heat the fat then add the rice, now cook until the rice takes on some color. Add a 1 to 1 ratio of water to rice than bring to a boil, at this point cover and place in a 350 deg. oven and allow to cook until all the water is absorbed, about 30-45 minutes. When the rice is done, pull it out and add the dried fruit. Make sure to fine dice the fruit before adding and don’t add to soon or the dried fruit will suck up all the moisture. Toss and serve hot.
