Ingredients
First Layer:
1 C. butter, softened
1/2 C. sugar
2 C. four
Second Layer:
8 oz. apricots
2/3 C. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 C. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. nuts, pecans or walnuts
Preparation
First Layer: Mix first three ingredients. Grease a jelly roll pan. Press into pan and bake about 25 min. Second layer: Cut up 8 oz. apricots. Place in saucepan in water. Cook for 10 min. Drain and cool.
Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Add 4 eggs, brown sugar, vanilla and chopped nuts. Add apricots and spread over first mixture. Bake 35-40 min. in 350 degree oven. Cool and spread with butter frosting or powdered sugar.
