Ingredients
Marinade: 6 tablespoons dark soy sauce, 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 1 green onion minced, 2 tablespoons minced garlic, 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root, 2 tablespoons dry sherry
2 lbs boneless short rib meat, (fat and ligament trimmed away)
Preparation
Combine ingredients of marinade together in bowl. Whisk until sugar is dissolved.
Place meat in large glass bowl. Pour marinade over meat and massage marinade into meat. Cover and refrigerate at least 12 to 24 hours.
Heat BBQ grill to high heat. Sear both sides of meat for 1 minute each side. Grill over medium high heat to desired doneness (approximately 8-10 minutes each side for medium rare, 12 -15 minutes for medium) Transfer meat to clean serving plate and let meat rest for 5 minutes before serving.
