bag (10 oz) Italian blend salad greens

cups matchstick-cut carrots (from 10-oz bag)

cans (8 oz each) sliced water chestnuts, drained

can (11 oz) mandarin orange segments, drained

1/3

cup sliced green onions (5 to 6 medium)

tablespoon sesame seed, toasted if desired*

cup chow mein noodles

tablespoons sugar

1/2

teaspoon ground ginger

1/4

teaspoon salt

tablespoons vinegar

teaspoon red pepper sauce

teaspoon soy sauce

cup vegetable oil

Preparation

In 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish, layer salad greens, carrots, water chestnuts, orange segments and onions. Sprinkle with sesame seed.

In small bowl, mix all dressing ingredients except oil with wire whisk. Gradually add oil, beating until well blended. Drizzle dressing evenly over salad. Top with chow mein noodles.
