Ingredients

3/4 cup Butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 cups flour

Preparation

Blend butter, sugar and eggs well. Sift dry ingredients while adding to butter mixture. Roll out on floured board quite thin. Cut out with cookie cutter and place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 350 for 10 minutes.

While still hot, sprinkle top of cookies with white sugar and let cool on cookie sheet a little.

Store in an air tight container.
