Ingredients

1-2 lb. of pickling cucumbers, washed. (Maybe more).

1 qt apple cider vinegar

1/4 dry mustard such as Coleman’s

1/4 c. salt

1/2 c. sugar

1/4 t alum

1/2 - 1 T pickling spice

Preparation

  1. Use a crock or other non-reative vessel. Place the cucumbers in the crock.
  2. Mix all of the remaining ingredients thoroughly and pour over.
  3. Let stand a minimum of 2 weeks.
