Ingredients

1 package of yeast

2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 cup butter

1 cup shortening

5 cups flour

1/4 cup warm water

2 teaspoons salt

2 eggs

1 can evaporated milk

Preparation

Melt shortening and butter. Add sugar, salt, eggs, and milk. Put yeast in water until disolved. Add to shortening mixture. Add flour. Chill 2-3 hours. Make filling by combining 1 cup; chopped walnuts, 1 package chocolate chips, 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries, 1 pint apricot jelly, 2 tablesppons cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar. Divide dough into 2 portions. Roll into circle and cut pie shapes. Put some filling on each roll. Roll into horns. Let raise 30 minutes. Bake 350 for 15 minutes then 300 degress for 15 minutes.
