Ingredients

2 2/3 cups of sugar

1/2 lb. of butter

1/2 cup of Crisco

5 eggs

2 cups plain flour

1 cup of self-rising flour

1 cup of milk

1 tsp. of lemon flavoring

1 tsp. of vanillia flaoring

If you choose to ice cake:

16 oz. cream cheese

1/2 stick of butter

confectioners sugar

lemon flavoring

or

lemon glaze

1 box of confectioner’s sugar

juice from 1 lemon

Preparation

Mix sugar, butter, and Crisco together until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time. mix the flours together then add to suger mix alternating with the milk. When blended together, add both flavorings. Grease and flour a tube pan and put into a preheated 325 degree oven and bake for an hour. Cool. Serve plain, or with the glaze or cream cheese frosting.
