Ingredients
2 to 3 cans of yams
1/2 stick of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of chopped picans
cinnamon to taste
nutmeg to taste
2(or more) cups of mini marshmellows
Preparation
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Drain yams & slightly smash into deep baking dish. Cut butter into 8 to 10 pieces and place evenly spaced on top of yams. Spread chopped picans and brown sugar on top evenly. sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.(there is no need to mix at all) Bake covered (on top oven rack) for 30 minutes. Uncover & spread marshmellows evenly on top. Bake uncovered for another 10 minutes or untill marshmellows are golden brown.
