Ingredients
1 Pet deep dish pie crust- put in oven for 5 minutes before filling
stick of butter or margarine
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup light Karo syrup
3 eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Preparation
Cook butter, sugar, karo, over low heat til all melted. Do not let it boil. Cool slightly. Stir in eggs and vanilla- mix well. Add nuts. Pour into pie shell and bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes. Will be slightly soft in center. Cool. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
