Ingredients
2 broccoli florets
2 cauliflower florets
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp plain (all purpose) flour
4 fl oz (1/2 cup) full-fat milk - or use formula or breast milk
2 tbsp cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
- Steam the broccoli and cauliflower for a few minutes until tender.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter, then stir in the flour.
- Cook for a couple of minutes, then remove from the heat and slowly stir in the milk.
- Cook over a low heat, stirring CONSTANTLY, until the sauce has thickened.
- Remove from the heat, stir in the cheese and serve
