Ingredients
1 lb fresh snap green beans
1 package low-sodium bacon
5 tsp brown sugar (I use Splenda brown sugar mix)
5 tsp coarsely chopped pecans
garlic salt
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350F. Wash beans and snap off ends. Blanche beans by placing them in boiling water for 2 minutes, then directly into ice water for about 10-15 seconds. Wrap 8-10 beans in one strip of bacon, creating a bundle. Put bundles on cooking sheet. Place 1/2 tsp of brown sugar and 1/2 tsp pecans directly onto bacon on each bundle. Sprinkle each bundle with garlic salt, to taste. Cook at 350F for 20 minutes. Serve immediately! Serves 4-5 people.
