Ingredients
12 Jalapenos
1 lb of breakfast sausage
1 package of cream cheese
1 can of seasoned diced tomatoes
24 strips of bacon (about 2 lbs)
24 tooth picks
Preparation
For the Filling:
- Brown the breakfast sausage.
- Add in the package of cream cheese and the can of Diced Tomatoes.
- Mix them together until the cream cheeses is melted and you have a cheesy sausage dip instead of three separate ingredients in the same bowl.
For the poppers:
- Cut the jalapenos in half and take the seeds out.
- Add a spoonful of cream cheese dip to to each jalapeno half.
- Wrap them in bacon and skewer them with a toothpick!
- Put them on a wire rack over a baking dish to catch the dripping bacon grease, and put them under the broiler for about 6 minutes, then flipped them and put them in for 6 more minutes.
