Ingredients
1 1/2 cups unfiltered, organic apple juice
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups organic, extra thick rolled oats
pinch of salt
Optional: About a Tbsp. butter and a couple tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 325°. Bring the apple juice and water to a boil in a saucepan. Turn off the heat and add the oats and salt. Mix well.
Transfer to an oven-safe baking dish. Cover with tinfoil (you can reuse this every morning for weeks before recycling it). Bake for 25 minutes.
Serve immediately. OR…
Remove the tinfoil and dot the top of the oatmeal with butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Put under the broiler for 4 - 5 minutes. Remove and serve.
