Preparation

Combination of applies – mostly Granny Smiths but some Macintosh (they get too mushy)

Peel and chop enough apples (don’t slice them) to fill a 9 x 12 plan

Sprinkle cinnamon on top of apples

In a separate bowl: • 1 to 1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar • 1 cup flour • ½ to ¾ cup butter Mash with fingers or pastry blender

Crumble mixture on top. Add more cinnamon

Drop dollops of apricot jam on top

Bake at 350 until bubbly on top and apples soft (but not too soft)
