Ingredients

4 apples

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1/8 tsp salt

zest of 1 lemon

Preparation

  1. Heat oven to 350
  2. peel the top 1/3 of the apple and core the apples and place on baking dish
  3. add sugar, water, lemon zest and salt to a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  4. remove from heat when warm.
  5. pour the syrup into the apples
  6. cover and bake for 30 minutes
