Ingredients
2 pounds thick asparagus, tough ends trimmed
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450°F. Place asparagus in baking pan large enough to hold them in a single layer. Drizzle oil over asparagus and sprinkle with Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
Bake until asparagus are crisp-tender and cheese has melted and is crispy. Meanwhile, in small skillet, heat balsamic and brown sugar until reduced to 3 tablespoons.
Serve asparagus drizzled with balsamic glaze.
