Ingredients

6 qts. Popcorn, popped

1 c. Butter

2 c. Brown Sugar, firmly packed

1/2 c. Corn Syrup (light or dark)

1 t. Salt

1/2 t. Baking Soda

1 t. Vanilla

Preparation

Preheat oven to 250°F. Coat the bottom and sides of a large roasting pan (400 pan works great) with Pam or butter. Place popped popcorn in roasting pan.

In a heavy pan, slowly melt butter; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil, stirring constantly; boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popcorn, mixing well.

Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven; cool completely. Break apart.

Makes about 6 quarts.
