Ingredients

YOU WILL NEED:

1 loaf French bread

8 lg eggs

2 cups half and half

1 cup milk

2 Tbls sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Dash of salt

Maple Syrup

FOR PRALINE TOPPING YOU WILL NEED:(instructions to come)

1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 cup chopped pecans

2 Tbls light corn syrup

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

*slice bread into 20 slices(1-inch each)

  • arrange slices in a generously buttered 9x13 dish, in two rows-layered on top of each other-overlapping *In large bowl, combine eggs, half and half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt…Beat with beater or wisk

*Pour mixture over bread and make sure it covers evenly-use spoon to get between pieces of bread *cover w/foil and put in fridge overnight…

NEXT DAY: *preheat oven to 350

PREPARE PRALINE TOPPING *Combine the following and blend well… 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter 1 cup packed light brown sugar 1 cup chopped pecans 2 Tbls light corn syrup 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg

*spread Praline topping generously over the bread and bake for 40 minutes…
